Emmitsburg After School Clubhouse

The Emmitsburg After School Clubhouse is a valuable program available to the the Emmitsburg Community.  The Clubhouse provides a safe and stable environment for 20 children grades 1-5 after school hours.  The main focus of the program is respect and responsibility through educational and recreational concepts that reinforce these values.  Staff follow a planned program schedule to give each child an opportunity to learn, grow and have fun in a structured environment.

Due to the rising cost of child care, families turn to this type of program for the safety and well being of their children.  There are currently no community centers accessible to Emmitsburg residents for children in grades first through fifth.  A majority of enrolled children would otherwise be home unsupervised.  The Town of Emmitsburg wants to continue to offer this free program to it's residents.

2015 was the tenth consecutive year that the Emmitsburg After School Clubhouse has successfully operated.

This is a 3-day a week program:  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday beginning early October of each year and run through middle of March of the following year.  The hours are 3:30 - 5:30pm.  There is a supervised walk from the Emmitsburg Elementary School to the Clubhouse which is located on the bottom floor of the Emmitsburg Community Center.  Parents of Mother Seton students must provide transportation to the clubhouse.

Flyers are distributed through the school during the first part of the school year.  Enrollment is on a first come first served basis.  Each child must be a Town resident, grades 1-5 only; and must provide pre-packaged snacks and/or drinks monthly.
