Seton Center, Inc. is a non-profit agency located in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Their mission is to assist low-income families, primarily in northern Frederick County, to meet their needs by offering supportive human services.

Blood Drive @ Mount St. Mary’s
Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, October 2 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm at Mount St. Mary's University in formerly called "Cardinal Keeler Dining" room but last-week renamed "Seminary Dining Room".
FREE JOB FAIR AND PREP WORKSHOPS
In partnership with the Frederick County Workforce services, Seton Center, Inc.’s Outreach Office will host three job search workshops at their new location, 226 East Lincoln Avenue, Emmitsburg. These opportunities to brush up on your job search and interview skills are open to the general public and especially recommended for those planning to attend the upcoming Job Fair at Mother Seton School on Monday, October 8, 2018. Registration for these workshops is required by calling 301.447.6102 x 18.
Wednesday, September 19 from 2-3 PM – Review information on the employers participating in the Job Fair and what to wear to stand out in the crowd (in a good way)
Monday, October 1 from 10:30-11:30 AM – Learn how to start conversations with employers at the Job Fair and let them know why you are the best fit for the job

The Build Your Resources Workshops program offers varied, relevant, monthly resource workshops available FREE to the entire community, regardless of income level.
September 19 – 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. - Saving Green by Going Green!
Learn how “Going Green” can save you money on your home energy costs! Opportunities to sign up for FREE goods and services for those who qualify. Presented by Empower Maryland and the Green Homes Challenge of Frederick County.
September 29 – 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. - Getting Ahead Program Information Fair
Eager to make changes, but not sure where to start? Come learn more about the Getting Ahead Program! This program helps people in poverty build resources for a better life. Come and explore if this might be for you!
October 3, 10, 17 & 24 – 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - How to Avoid Falling For a Jerk
This 4-week workshop series is for those who have experienced the heartache of a failed relationship and those who desire to prevent such heartache! Presented by the Marriage Resource Center of Frederick County.
October 10 – 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Small Steps to Health and Wealth
This program is designed to motivate participants to implement behavior change strategies that will also help improve health and personal finances. Join us to build both physical and financial resources in a non-judgmental and fun environment. Presented by Carrie Sorenson from University of Maryland Extension.

DePaul Dental Workshops
The DePaul Dental Health Club offers FREE workshops to help folks maintain a healthy mouth and prevent future issues. Whether you have natural teeth or dentures, oral health is important.
Wednesday, September 26 – 1:30-3 PM – Preventative Dental Care
Daily maintenance of your oral health is much easier and less expensive than major dental work. Neglect of oral health is costly.
Tuesday, October 30 – 1:30-3 PM – Don’t Try This At Home
Home remedies for dental pain are often dangerous and can do more harm than good. Learn why they should be avoided and what you can safely do when you have problems with your teeth.
