Effective May 6, 2020: As the Town of Emmitsburg continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation, the following actions are being taken:
The town office will continue to have reduced hours and be closed to walk-in services until June 1, 2020. Town staff will be available by phone (301-600-6300) or email only Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The town office will continue to be closed Fridays. Town staff will continue to monitor all voicemails and emails outside of business hours.
The first quarter water bills (for months January – March) will be mailed out by May 18, 2020 with a new due date of June 24, 2020.
The May 16, 2020 recycling and yard waste drop off will be OPEN with staff supervision only.
The May 18, 2020 town meeting will be by virtual participation only via cable channel 99 and Zoom. To obtain information about viewing the meeting on Zoom please call the town office or email Mshaw@emmitsburgmd.gov.
The May 19, 2020 Parks Committee meeting has been CANCELED.
Community Pool will NOT be opening Memorial Day weekend; an opening date has not been determined yet.
The situation will be reevaluated and an update given by May 27, 2020. We anticipate resuming normal business operations on June 1.
