DOG & CAT LICENSING 
Frederick County Animal Control (FCAC) requires your dog or cat to have a FCAC license in Emmitsburg.
You can purchase a license here at the town office. Your information will then be sent to the FCAC offices in Frederick. Your tag will come in the mail in approximately 10 business days.
Licenses expire according to the expiration date of your pet’s rabies vaccine. You may purchase a one, two, or three-year license; however, the expiration date of your pet’s license cannot exceed the expiration date for their rabies vaccine. Please use one application per pet.

Through a generous grant from the Maryland Department of Agriculture, the Frederick County Animal Control is able to offer free spaying/neutering to qualified applicants. Download Application
